Installed at Scottsdale’s iconic AZ88, The Mushroom Tree is an 11-foot-tall wooden sculpture designed by Untitled Studio in collaboration with a Brooklyn-based artist. The piece features more than 100 hand-sculpted ceramic mushroom clusters, each mounted along the tree’s branches to create an intricate visual experience.

The installation blends sculptural form with natural references, transforming the space into something both whimsical and grounded. Every ceramic element was shaped and finished by hand, giving the piece a rich texture and sense of craftsmanship that invites close inspection.

Untitled Studio led the design, fabrication, and installation of the piece, highlighting the studio’s ability to translate organic concepts into large-scale public works. The Mushroom Tree serves as both a conversation piece and a sculptural anchor, drawing visitors into a moment of curiosity and wonder.
